I often create custom invitations for family and friends, but this one was especially close to my heart. For my mom’s 80th birthday, we celebrated her love of dancing with a “Dancing Through the Decades” theme, inspired in part by her fondness for Mamma Mia and its iconic “Dancing Queen.”
The invitations were designed to be as festive and joyful as she is, using her University of Michigan alma mater colors — maize and blue — and featuring retro illustrations of her dancing in both 1950s and 1970s styles, accompanied by silhouetted dancers to capture the party Girl's lively energy.
