Amanda Boyd Yin is a fine artist, designer, and illustrator whose work explores the expressive potential of line, structure, and storytelling across multiple disciplines.
As a visual artist, Amanda draws directly from life, working with models in real-time to capture presence, gesture, and psychology through traditional printmaking techniques such as lithography and woodcut. Her grayscale works on paper, often at or near life scale, balance classical draftsmanship with raw immediacy and have been exhibited nationally and internationally.
Alongside her studio practice, Amanda has an extensive background in graphic design, illustration, and creative direction. She has created visual identities, brand systems, editorial illustrations, and marketing campaigns for clients including The Wall Street Journal, Weight Watchers International, and Time Warner Book Clubs. Her illustrations have been longlisted for the World Illustration Awards, and her design work spans logos, infographics, animation, and visual storytelling for digital and print platforms.
With an MFA in Drawing and Printmaking from the New York Academy of Art and a BFA in Illustration from Parsons School of Design, Amanda bridges the worlds of fine art and applied design. Her work invites viewers and clients alike to engage with images that are precise yet deeply human, whether on paper or in brand narratives.
