Great Lakes Graze creates custom charcuterie boards pairing local Northern Michigan cheeses with local wines. Based on beautiful Old Mission Peninsula with views of both Traverse City bays, they needed a logo to use on their cheese boards that reflected the serene beauty of this farming community.
The client choose the pastural scene with cherry trees, vineyards and a view of the bay. but still wanted to explore a variety of script fonts for the top.
The client loved the sketches and wanted to use them so I tries a variety of type treatment and also added some vector sketches done in illustrator inspired by European cheese logos.
After brainstorming, we did a round of sketches focusing on Old Mission Peninsula. emphasizing the bucolic agricultural beauty.
