Burnett’s Vodka, known for its wide range of flavored vodkas and popularity among college students and younger drinkers, wanted to expand its reach and retain customers as they transitioned into adulthood — all while competing with higher-end brands without alienating its budget-conscious base.
As part of my work with Heaven Hills Brands, I designed a mobile recipe app that allowed users to explore cocktail recipes tailored to each vodka flavor. To create a cohesive brand experience, I also redesigned the recipe section of Burnett’s website to reflect the app’s look and feel.
The challenge was striking the right balance: the app needed an elegant, sophisticated aesthetic to appeal to an older demographic, while still feeling colorful, approachable, and fun for existing fans. I combined clean, modern layouts with vibrant imagery and simple yet elevated cocktail recipes, creating a seamless experience that spoke to both audiences.
